01Choose Your Finish

Performance you can see and feel.

Finish options vary by system and manufacturer. These examples show the general styles we offer, and we review actual samples with you before work begins.

Granite flake blend

A multi-tone flake finish that adds texture and helps hide dust and tire marks.

Warm flake blend

Earth-tone flakes that complement warm exterior and interior palettes.

Solid color

A clean, uniform finish for a modern, minimal garage or workspace.

Textured exterior

Slip-resistant textured coating for patios, walkways and entries.

02Coating Services

Concrete surfaces, upgraded.

From garage floors to patios, we install coating systems that protect your concrete and are easy to live with.

Garage epoxy flooring

Seamless, cleanable garage floors with flake or solid color finishes. Epoxy and polyaspartic systems with decorative flake or solid color finishes, installed over a diamond-ground slab.

Polyaspartic systems

Fast-curing, UV-stable coatings for a quicker return to use.

Decorative flake floors

Color flake blends that add texture and hide everyday wear.

Patio & walkway coatings

Slip-resistant exterior coatings for patios, walkways and entries.

Concrete restoration

Crack, spall and surface repairs that restore damaged concrete.

Surface preparation

Diamond grinding and repair so coatings bond properly.

We install only the coating systems we are qualified to apply, following each manufacturer’s requirements. We do not offer house painting or cabinet refinishing.

03Inside the System

A great finish is built layer by layer.

Select a system to see how it is typically assembled, and hover a layer to see what it does.

Simplified, typical build-ups for illustration. Final systems depend on testing, substrate conditions and manufacturer requirements.

    04Epoxy vs. Polyaspartic

    Two chemistries. One great floor.

Many of the best garage floors combine both: an epoxy base for build and bonding, finished with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat.

    05Our Process

    Preparation first. Performance follows.

A coating is only as good as the surface under it, so preparation is built into every step.

    Assessment

Concrete condition, moisture and existing coatings evaluated.

    STEP 02

    System & color

A written scope with the recommended system and finish.

    STEP 03

    Preparation

Diamond grinding plus crack, joint and spall repairs.

    STEP 04

    06Questions

    Specialty coatings FAQs.

What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic garage floors?

Epoxy builds thickness and bonds strongly to concrete. Polyaspartic cures faster and is UV-stable, so it resists yellowing in sunlight. Many garage systems use an epoxy or polyaspartic base with a polyaspartic topcoat.

How long before I can use my garage again?

It depends on the system, temperature and humidity. Polyaspartic systems often allow foot traffic sooner than traditional epoxy. We provide cure times for your specific system before work begins.

Why is surface preparation so important?

Coatings need a clean, profiled surface to bond to. We diamond grind the concrete and repair cracks and spalls, which helps prevent peeling and delamination.

Can you coat a cracked or damaged slab?

In many cases, yes. Cracks, joints and spalls are repaired before coating. Some movement cracks can reappear through any coating, and we will explain that during the assessment.

    Do you offer house painting?

No. Our residential coatings work focuses on garage floors, concrete coatings, patios, walkways and concrete restoration.

Where do you install residential coatings?

Summit Building Group serves Sacramento and the greater Northern California region.
